The two people that were involved in car accident early Sunday morning,
that sent a car into the Colorado River,
have been identified.
The driver of the car, who did die in the accident, has been identified as 33 year–old Sarah Jackson of Clifton. The passenger of the car,
who had left the scene of the accident has been identified as 31 year–old Shane Ruppelius. He is also from Clifton. Preliminary investigation does indicate that speed and alcohol were contributing factors to the crash, but the accident remains under investigation.
