Quiet Movie Night for GJ Man Has Surprise Ending

A quiet Sunday movie night at home for a Grand Junction man turns out to be anything but. It's a surprise ending he never thought possible when a wanted man breaks down his door.

Caleb Abeloe was enjoying his Sunday night watching "Meet the Fockers" when all of the sudden someone broke down his front door and begged him to hide him.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office was chasing a repeat offender wanted on warrants in the 900 Block of Colorado Avenue. But Abeloe wasn't about to pop another bag of popcorn and let him stay, instead he threw him outside. Deputies drew their guns and took the man into custody.

As for having a quiet movie night, Abeloe says plans have changed to fixing his front door.

The man was booked into the Mesa County Jail on a parole violation. Additional charges are pending.
