On the Fourth of July the night sky in grand junction will be exploding with light, but this year's fireworks spectacular is going to be a little bit different.
The biggest fireworks show on the Western Slope has just gotten even bigger with plenty of preshow entertainment too. Grand Junction Parks and Recreation says this year's fireworks show will be expanded to about twenty minutes.
But before the fireworks show there will be preshow entertainment. Performers for this years fireworks show include Peggy Malone, the Celtic Dancers, Spirit Express, and Vintage Vantage. Gates open at 7:30 and preshow entertainment starts at 8. The fireworks show starts at dark around 9:30.
Tickets inside Suplizio Stadium cost $4 in advance and $5 at the gate. But there is a new and cheaper area to watch the fireworks this year.
The bleachers on the football field will be sold the day of the fireworks show for $1.
