Accused Murder Suspects Appear In Court

A Mesa County judge denies a motion from attorneys for Christopher Weiberg and co–defendant Barrington Paris today in their first degree murder cases. During preliminary hearings judge Brian J. Flynn denied a motion from defense attorneys to continue a hearing to reveal the identity of a confidential witness crucial to the state's case. During today's proceedings the prosecution also presented evidence to show there is probable cause the defendants committed the crimes of which they are accused. Christopher Weiberg and Barrington Paris face one count of first degree murder and a count of murder with deliberation
and three counts of attempted aggravated robbery in the death of Thomas Joe Martinez. Martinez was shot in the head during an altercation in his apartment on October 25th of last year.
