Following up on a campaign promise District Attorney Pete Hautzinger today announces the formation of a new financial crimes task force. Hautzinger says everyone from the elderly to those buying a home are finding themselves falling prey to scam artists and more criminals are targeting the Grand Valley. Local Attorney and former Sheriff's Office Captain Rick Wagner will head up the new task force. State Attorney General John Suthers has given Wagner the power as a Special Assistant Attorney General to prosecute people apprehended and charged by the task force.
