Could Be Another Record Year For United Way

The United Way of Mesa County held a disco themed party to celebrate the contributions made to the 2005/2006 campaign. So far more than 981–thousand dollars has been raised to help area non–profit agencies. Last year for the first time ever the United Way surpassed the $1 million mark. The goal set forth by the campaign team headed by Enstrom's Candy owners Doug and Jamee Simons is $1.2 million. Many businesses and individuals received special recognition for their contributions to the community and the fundraising campaign. The Marillac Clinic, Family Health West, and American National Bank were among them. The United Way's current campaign concludes in March with the 4th annual Taste Of The Grand Valley set for March 27th at the Two Rivers Convention Center.
