Alternative Energy Coming To Forefront In Colorado

President Bush will visit Colorado Monday to gain support for his alternative energy strategy. In his State of the Union speech Bush said Americans are addicted to oil and called for less dependency on foreign energy sources. Monday evening he'll visit the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden. Bush's visit comes just days before Mesa County hosts its first ever Energy Forum and Expo. The event taking place Friday at the Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction will not only have discussions on oil and gas development in western Colorado, but will also focus on alternative and renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and ethanol. The event is free and open to the public.
