A remote–controlled police car is just one of the many draws this year at the 20th annual Community Safety Fair. Hosted by the Mesa County Safety Council, the fair is calling Mesa Mall home for the eighth year.
Second and third graders from around the county are taking busses to the fair to learn about being safe at home and when playing around electricity and water as well as construction sites, which one member says is becoming a concern as the construction boom in the valley continues.
There are 24 exhibitors at this year's safety fair including American Medical Response, Colorado National Monument, the National Weather Service and local law enforcement agencies.
The safety fair continues tomorrow at Mesa Mall from 9AM to 7PM.
