New Speed Clock Installed At Elementary School

Video will be available shortly.

Drivers using 7th Street in Grand Junction will find a new reminder to watch their speed near Tope Elementary School. This morning city workers installed two solar powered speed clocking signs near the school, which has been the subject of concern from parents and school officials for years. The signs should help drivers keep their speeds in check near the school. These signs are two of five the city purchased using a federal block grant. Two similar signs will soon be placed at another school. The third sign is portable and can be used wherever speeding is a problem.
