This week's Grand Valley Power Student of the Week is a straight 'A' student and three sport athlete. Palisade High School senior Katy Edmiston plays varsity basketball and volleyball she also runs track in the spring. Teachers say Katy's competitive drive is welcomed in the classroom. Katy recently signed with Colorado School of Mines and will play volleyball for the Orediggers. She wants to major in civil engineering and hopes to one day work designing and building structures for the Olympic Committee. Katy is ranked number one in her class and she hopes to be Palisade High's valedictorian. Her favorite subject is math.
