Delta County has been named the best kept secret in Colorado by Forbes Magazine. Well the secret is out.
Forbes magazine outlined Delta County as a beautiful area that lacks the snobbery and high prices of areas such as Vail or Aspen.
The land in Delta County has remained fairly inexpensive by Colorado standards, and for some that are looking for a second home,
the price is just right.
The article did also mention the interest in Delta County as a retirement spot. The dream of one day working and living on a ranch
has become a reality for many retirees moving to the Delta area,
and the proximity to Grand Junction and Montrose allows people to still enjoy the amenities of a larger area, without the crowds.
The release of the article has already prompted phone calls to Hennessey Realty in Delta and some have expressed concern that now that the secret is out the attention might prompt many to move to the area, which could hurt the quality of life people currently enjoy there.
Others see the description in the article of the beautiful scenery,
tasty food, and atmosphere as an opportunity to increase tourism in Delta County, which would help the local economy.
The full article can be found in the most recent issue of Forbes magazine.
