Attorney General Candidate Campaigns In Grand Junction

Video will be available shortly.

"Main street values," that's what democrat Fern, O'Brien hopes to bring to the office of attorney General in Colorado. The longtime business and real estate attorney announced her bid for the position Friday in Grand Junction. One of many stops she's making across Colorado this week. O'Brien says her background will help the state protect its land, water, and people. Although she didn't comment on the senate's recent renewal of the Patriot Act, she did say, if elected she would fight for a citizen's right to privacy. Current Attorney General republican John Suthers has indicated he will run in November. Suthers was appointed to the position by Governor Owens when his predecessor Ken Salazar was elected to the U.S. senate.
