Mesa state officials can breathe a sigh of relief after the joint budget committee set aside 1.5 million dollars to go back to the college.
The money was freed up with the passing of Referendum C, and will go to overdue maintenance, and classroom renovation projects,
as well as technology and salaries for staff and faculty.
Mesa is not the only Western Slope school to reap the benefits.
Western State received 1.3 million,
and $800,000 will go to Adams State College in Alamosa.
