Bush Wraps Up At Summit

Toyako, Japan (AP) President Bush has claimed significant progress in efforts by leading industrialized nations to achieve a consensus on combating global warming.

Speaking at the conclusion of the G-8 summit in Japan, Bush told reporters that “all major economies must be at the table, and that's what we had here today.”

Bush also said that at the meeting, U.S. Officials made clear that they support ambitious plans to “enable the world to successfully address climate change.”

Earlier, he told Chinese president Hu Jintao that he is looking forward to attending the Beijing Olympics, and Hu thanked the president for not politicizing the summer competition
