A Grand Junction woman is arrested today for her role in the recent death of her fiancé's son. Officials with the Grand Junction Police department have arrested 26 year old Sarah Beaudoin. She faces charges of first degree murder and one count of child abuse resulting in death.
According to Beaudoin's arrest affidavit: two year old Keaton Robert Anderson was brought to St. Mary's Hospital on January 26th by Beaudoin and her friend. Doctors were performing emergency surgery on the boy when he stopped breathing. When questioned, Beaudoin told authorities that Keaton and her two year old were playing in their room when she heard a loud noise. She found Keaton laying on the ground in fetal position suffering from a seizure. He was unresponsive for more than an hour before she called a friend to take them to the hospital. Beaudoin's two year old son was removed from her residence by authorities.
Beaudoin is currently being held in the Mesa County jail on a $250,000.00 bond. She's expected in court Thursday afternoon.
