Wildlife Rescue Team Volunteers Needed

When a wild animal is injured or sick the Colorado Division of Wildlife looks to its Wildlife Rescue Team for assistance. That team is made up of vital volunteers and more are needed. An orientation meeting for volunteers interested in serving on the grand valley wildlife rescue team will be held this Wednesday. The meeting will begin at six p–m at the DOW North West Region Hunter Education Facility on Independent Avenue. Duties of a wildlife rescue team volunteer include capturing and transporting sick or injured animals. Capture and transport equipment and training are provided but volunteers must have a dependable vehicle. To RSVP call 255–6145.
