A motorcycle accident in Grand Junction early this morning sends one man to the hospital. The accident happened just after midnight along I–70 B and 31 1/2 Road. The drive is a man in his 40's. He was heading east bound on the Business loop on his motorcycle, when he apparently lost control of his bike struck a school crossing post The victim traveled several feet into air before landing on the ground. He was not wearing a helmet. The man was taken to the hospital, however, there is no word at this point on the extent of his injuries. The Colorado State Patrol is working to determine whether alcohol was a factor.
