Grand Junction City Council members pass a resolution Wednesday, imposing imminent domain on a property needed for phase three of the Riverside Parkway Project.
Public Works and Utilities Director Mark Relph told city council members that the city and the owner of the property on Kimball Ave. had agreed to trade the property for some adjacent remnant property. The city sent the owner the agreement, however, the city has not heard a response in more than a month.
Relph said the imminent domain process was a last resort tactic and
city council passed the resolution with a 4–3 vote.
