The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along Interstate 70 Sunday morning. Troopers responded to a one–vehicle roll over at milepost 56 just after two a.m. Upon arrival troopers found a 1993 Subaru four-door on its left side off the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes. The body of a man believed to the driver was found 13 feet away and appeared to be ejected from the vehicle. Preliminary investigation shows the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and it does not appear alcohol or excessive speed were factors. The Mesa County coroner's office is working to positively identify the victim and notify family members.
