In support of our troops serving overseas Homefront Heroes will once again adorn bright yellow ribbons along western Colorado roadways. The highway home officially kicks off Saturday morning, but Friday a ceremonial ribbon was hung on a mile marker along the I–70 business loop in Clifton. It's one of five thousand that will appear between Rifle and Fruita and Grand Junction and Montrose. Army Specialist Luke Sutherland was the guest of honor who hung the first ribbon. He's currently home from an 11–month deployment in Iraq and expects to return there sometime in August. Volunteers with Homefront Heroes will begin decorating the highway home Saturday morning beginning at 7 a–m. The ribbons will stay in place through March 29th to mark salute our troops remembrance day.
