It has been three years since the Iraq war began.
Saturday, Lincoln Park held a commemoration to remind people of the sacrifice that so many have made.
Twenty three hundred crosses represented all the American lives lost in the war. Featured speakers shared their experiences in Iraq. One was an Iraqi Journalist who spoke about the conditions in Iraq and what it is like to live there during war time.
The organizers of the commemoration wanted to not only honor those who have died, but also to remind people of the horrors of war.
