Food Packages Coming to Mesa County Residents in Need

Starting on Tuesday the 22nd, Mesa County individuals or families in need can get some welcome relief from high grocery bills.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program or TEFAP, funded by the USDA Farm Bill, provides free food packages on a quarterly basis to those who meet their financial guidlines.

Distribution of the food packages begin on Tuesday the 22nd, with new client registration starting Thursday the 24th. New clients will need to bring proof of income and proof of Mesa County residency. The last day for distribution is Friday the 25th. The hours are 8 am to noon and 1pm to 4pm.
