This morning a GVT Bus was rear ended by a mini-van, throwing a passenger free from the bus and closes a portion of Patterson road.

At 8:40 am, the bus stopped to pick up 51-year-old Cynthia Gosnell at a bus stop between 7th and 12th on Patterson Road. The driver of the mini-van, 38-year-old Michelle Lee Young, struck the bus from the back, causing Gosnell to fall as she was boarding.

Gosnell, Young and the bus driver were taken to the hospital, but no serious injuries were reported. Gosnell's daughter says that her mother recieved a head wound in the accident.

Patterson Road reopened at 10:30.

No charges have been filed and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
