A man is seriously injured in a crash but finds the strength to walk more than a mile through the desert for help.

The accident happened in Whitewater off Reeder Mesa Road on Saturday night.

Officials say Terri Ross was off-roading in the area when his jeep rolled off the top of a hill.

Ross suffered major facial injuries among others but was able to walk to a home more than a mile away. Luckily someone was home and called 911.

Ross was rushed to the hospital.

No word on his condition.
