A remodeling project is underway on a building that will soon be home to a new Best Buy store in Grand Junction. Officials with the electronics retail store confirm they are planning to occupy the former Toys R Us building near Mesa Mall and hope to be open sometime in August. Construction crews are currently working to remodel the approximate 30– thousand foot facility. Best Buy officials say they plan to hire 100 full or part time positions. A majority of the staff will be made up of people from the western slope. Future employees may begin applying for positions in May.
