As of Tuesday morning, the Grand Junction Police Department is still on the hunt for a man they say injured a woman during a domestic dispute.
Just before noon Monday, officers received a call that a 27-year-old had been injured by a car in the 2700 block of Unaweep Avenue.
Officials say the woman was outside the vehicle arguing with the driver, a 29-year-old male, when things got out of hand. They say he hit her with the car, then sped off.
A short time later police were able to locate the car at a house in the 400 block of Ridge Trail. Officers and a team from the Mesa County Sheriff's Office surrounded the house and recovered the vehicle, but could not find the man they were looking for.
The woman was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with unknown injuries. Officials say officers are still looking for the man. Authorities are not releasing the identities of the suspect or victim at this time.
