The Riverside Parkway will open August 15. City officials made the announcement Wednesday at a press conference.

There will be a ribbon cutting and festivities prior to the Parkway opening up for traffic at 2:00p.m.

The Riverside Parkway Project started in the fall of 2005 and costs around $110 Million.

Officials say the Riverside Parkway should alleviate growing traffic problems.
