BERLIN (AP) _ Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama has arrived in Berlin, kicking off the European leg of his overseas trip amid high expectations.
Today's visit is the first of three stops that will also take him to Britain and France. He will meet with German leaders and cap his day with an open-air speech before an expected crowd of at least 100,000. Obama's campaign says the speech will be a ``substantive address on U.S.-European relations.''
Before dawn today in Jerusalem, Obama visited the city's Western Wall, the holiest place in Judaism. He bowed his head in prayer and pushed a small note into a crevice in the ancient wall in keeping with Jewish custom.
