Vail, Colo. (AP) A toppled crane is blocking Vail's frontage road but workers expect to have it completely removed by Wednesday evening.

Vail spokeswoman Suzanne Silverthorn said the 40-ton crane toppled just after noon but no one was hurt.

The crane, owned by Hi Cranes, Inc., was being used for a construction project at the Vail Spa condominiums. Deputy fire chief Mike McGee said crane operator was lifting some materials from the ground to the roof when the crane became unstable and
tipped over.

The 32-condo project is owned by East West Resorts.
