A resolution backed by Colorado Congressman John Salazar passes Wednesday and looks to establish a National Methamphetamine Prevention Week.
Salazar was one of 64 Congressional leaders who backed the resolution which passed through the house Wednesday. National Methamphetamine Prevention Week aims to increase awareness of meth and to educate the public on ways to help prevent the use of the drug. While the resolution is a big step, Salazar says the battle against meth is far from over.
Salazar adds the Mesa County Methamphetamine Task Force and the DEA Western Colorado Drug Task Force had direct input on the resolution.
