Former Colorado Governor Speaks At Mesa State

Former Colorado Governor Richard Lamm spoke in Grand Junction Tuesday on some of the environmental and demographic changes happening in the west.
Governor Lamm, who governed Colorado for 13 years, was the featured speaker for the annual Aspinall Foundation Dinner held at Mesa State.
Liff Auditorium was nearly packed for Governor Lamm's presentation, which was entitled the 21st century west. Governor Lamm brushed over several topics facing Colorado and the west, including global warming, what effects population increases will place on a precious water supply and the need to create a more sustainable society.
Along with Governor Lamm's presentation, several scholarships were also awarded by the Aspinall Foundation, which was founded in 1968 in honor of Congressman Wayne Aspinall.
