Over 90 fire fighters in training
were tested to see if they have what it takes to be a firefighter.
They had to complete several tasks,
including running up three flights of stairs carrying 55 pounds of equipment,
pulling fire hose, hammering a steel beam
and dragging a 150 pound dummy.
Every firefighter in training must complete the course in under seven and a half minutes
but the course isn't just reserved for the firefighter hopefulls. Employed firefighters have to run the course every year to make sure they are staying in shape.
This training course is held every two years for new recruits,
if someone failed this course,
they will not be able to retake the physical test again till 2008.
