After years of working with the school district the Riverside Community has a new bilingual school to call their own. Since 1993 founding president of the Riverside Taskforce Linda Villa has dreamed of the Dual Immersion Academy. Now that it's a reality she says she's ecstatic. The new school opened yesterday and teaches kindergarten through third grade students. Each week students rotate between spanish speaking classrooms and english speaking classrooms. Within the next few years academy officials plan to make it a K–5 school. The Riverside task force is renovating the community's old school to make it into a multicultural center.
