The early risers were greeted with clear skies this morning at sunrise service at Suplizio Field. The ceremony started at 6:30 this morning and was hosted by the Grand Junction Ministerial Alliance. The spirit of life worship team completed the mass with singing and instruments. The early morning Easter service has been a family tradition for some worshipers. Kathy Rossmann says she and her family have been attending the early mass for the past ten years. "I love it because it just represents what happened the day Jesus was resurrected– just as the sun came up over the horizon, Jesus the son of God came out of the grave." Some of the speakers at the service were pastor Abe Pfeifer and reverend Doug Sikes, who gave the Easter message.
