Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office are reviewing surveillance tapes in connection with attempted armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning in Clifton. According to Mesa County Sheriff's Officials an armed man tried to rob a C&F Food Store around 2:30 a.m. The man was allegedly armed with a gun entered the store at 422 32 road and demanded money. However a female clerk working at the time refused to hand over the cash. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and reviewing video surveillance tapes from the store.
The man did not get away with any money. Anyone with information about the attempted armed robbery is asked to call the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.
