GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Thursday is the deadline for the City of Grand Junction to file their response to the lawsuit slapped on them by the American Civil Liberties Union.

A spokesperson for the city confirms they have filed a response to the ACLU, but will not disclose any details at this time.

The lawsuit against the city continues months after City Council approved their revised panhandling ordinance. After it was passed in February, the ACLU filed a lawsuit challenging the ordinance, saying it's too broad and violates the right to free speech.
