The 5th Annual SouthWest Arborfest was held Saturday to celebrate spring! Grand Junction Park's and Recreation were on hand to give out free tree seedlings to festival attendees.
Farm and ranch exhibits, along with live music from the Williams Brothers Band gave the festival a nice touch. And let's not forget the chili cook-off. Spectators were free to sample chili from vendors who participated in the event. Last year's winner was Tommy Rocker, from the radio station 95 Rock.
The event also added a hot halapeno eating contest to the roster of different events held at this year's Southwest Arborfest.
