Preparations Underway For Fruita Fat Tire Festival
Founder Troy Rarick is in his office at Over the Edge Sports today, finishing up on details even as the town of Fruita starts to show a little of the mountain bike mania that is the Fat Tire Festival.
Vendors are setting up tents today for the event that starts tonight with a VIP party. People from around the world come to the festival, which this year returns to its' roots as a three–day event after a week–long 10th Anniversary celebration last year. Rarick has intentionally made the Fruit fat tire festival a laid–back family affair in which everyone is welcome, even non-cyclists.
Tomorrow all–day rides on Fruita's world–class mountain bike trails come to a climax with free music for all at the Ladies Night Party at the Fruita Civic Center from six to ten.
