It was not your typical bike riders racing out at the Fruita Fat Tire Festival. No, these cyclists had a different approach on what it takes to win a race.
The radical cyclists raced in the 11th Annual Clunker Crit out at the festival. The racers were dressed in everything but proper bike apparel. Some wore wigs and dresses; and others wore leotards and coconut bra tops.
The cyclists in the Clunker Crit raced forwards and backwards. The winners of the race got to put lipstick on the lucky spectators.
