After all the rounds of dedications in Palisade Saturday morning, officials encouraged people to stick around and help clean up. It was the first ever cleanup day at Riverbend Park.
The Roice Hurst Humane Society was also at the event to provide dog licenses and pet adoption information. The park which sits right along the Colorado River has walking trails and covered picnic areas for visitors to enjoy.
The Lions Club was also on hand to provide the volunteers with a hot dog lunch after the cleanup.
