The National Park Service decided it was time for some extreme spring cleaning. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office Technical Rescue Team repelled down Cold Shivers Point at the Colorado National Monument to pick up trash.

They used rope, muscle, and lots of team work. The rescue team enjoys the dangerous cleaning because it gives them opportunity to practice scaling steep cliffs, while providing a service to the community.

The team takes advantage of the invaluable practice for the real life rescues of fallen hikers and climbers.
