Grand Junction Man Reunited With Pets

By  |

A Grand Junction resident who was hospitalized after a stabbing incident last month was reunited with his pets on Monday.

Bob Winchester's cats, Freckels and Mojo are back home. The Roice Hurst Humane Society took care of his pets for the past five weeks while Winchester was recovering in the hospital.

On March 23, Winchester's son, Kevin, allegedly stabbed him and is now facing charges in the case. Winchester says he's optimistic about his recovery, and very thankful for the help he received caring for his animals.

Friends set up a fund to help out with Winchester's medical bills.
If you would like to help you can drop off donations at:

Donations are being accepted under the care of the Bob Winchester medical fund. Winchester is a teacher at the Sylvan Learning Center.
