Obama Chooses Senator Joe Biden as Running Mate
Early Saturday morning, the Obama campaign sent out text messages to supporters confirming Senator Joe Biden of Delaware as his choice for Vice President.

Early Saturday morning, the Obama campaign sent out text messages to supporters confirming Senator Joe Biden of Delaware as his choice for Vice President.
At around 1:20am MDT, the following message was sent to supporters who signed up for the special announcement:
"Barack has chosen Senator Joe Biden to be our VP nominee. Watch the first Obama-Biden rally live at 3pm ET on www.BarackObama.com. Spread the word!"
65-year-old Biden has served in the U.S. Senate since 1972. He currently chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and also serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee. He also leads multiple anti-drug caucuses in Congress.
