Break-In At House of Diamonds Causes Extensive Damage

A burglary was reported at the House of Diamonds the store overnight.

The store is located near the intersection of 7th and North Avenue. Someone broke into the store through a back window, and after they entered the alarm started going off.

The trespasser became startled and fled the scene. So far nothing has been reported missing from the store. But the break in did cause extensive damage to the building.

The intruder broke some ceiling tiles, a diamond scale and a window. The store owner estimates that they left close to three-thousand dollars in damage. According to one witness there may have been more than one person involved, they said they saw multiple people running from the store.

Officers are investigating the break-in and are looking for anyone involved.
