Three finalists have been selected to fill a newly created position for a Mesa County Judge, but only one will be appointed. The 21st Judicial District announced the creation of the additional seat because of the increase in workload and growing population. The group met yesterday to decide on the final candidates. They've selected Randal Lynn Brown of Grand Junction, Gretchen Buck Larson who is also from Grand Junction and Valerie Jo Robinson from Fruita. The Governor certified the candidates and will now have 15 days to make a selection.
