The deadline for those looking to enroll in a new Medicare prescription plan is fast approaching.
At midnight Tuesday, the enrollment period for Medicare's Plan D will end.
There are more than 19–thousand eligible people in Mesa County and according to the Agency on Aging of Western Colorado, roughly 17–thousand of those have already enrolled.
If you miss Monday's deadline, monthly increases of one percent could accrue before the next enrollment period in November and those who do enroll stand to see substantial savings on prescription drugs.
There are two ways to enroll. The first is to contact Senator Wayne Allard's office in Denver. The number is 303-220-7414.
