Rifle Arson Suspect Gets Out On Bail

Video will be available shortly.

A suspected arsonist in Garfield County has been released on bond.
Robin Clifton, who's accused of setting a string of Labor Day fires in Rifle, left the Garfield County Jail on Saturday after posting a total of $210,000 in bonds pending from four separate cases.
Clifton was arrested following a seven–month investigation into the fires and during his bond hearing, the suspected arsonist requested his bond be reduced so he could work towards paying for his legal defense.
Victims of the arson attacks say while they don't believe Clifton is a danger to residents, but he is a potential flight risk.
Garfield County District Attorney Martin Beeson did not comment on whether Clifton may flee after posing bond, however he did say two of the cases that Clifton bonded out on were failure to appear charges.
