Las Vegas (AP) Lawyers for O.J. Simpson are hoping today could be their chance to finish cross-examining a witness who became ill on the stand.

Bruce Fromong's testimony was cut short yesterday after he complained of being lightheaded and dizzy and started sweating.

Simpson is on trial on 1 charges, including kidnapping, armed robbery, coercion and assault with a deadly weapon. Fromong, who has had four heart attacks in the past year, is one of two alleged victims.

Testimony today could set the stage for the jury to hear from Thomas Riccio. He's the colorful collectibles broker who arranged a hotel room meeting where memorabilia peddlers Fromong and Alfred Beardsley claim they were robbed.

Before his testimony was interrupted, Fromong was telling defense lawyers about hearing “somebody in the room saying, 'put the gun down.”'

Whether Simpson knew weapons were in the room is a crucial point.
