Fruita Teenager Works To Improve Driving Conditions In Fruita

A Fruita teenager is trying to help out her fellow high schoolers by making it safer for them to drive too school.

Michele Kenagy was asked by the Board of County Commissioners to conduct a survey taken by Fruita Monument High School students to find out about driving conditions in Fruita.

Monday, she represented her survey results to the Board of County Commissioners. She found out that 1st and Grand, Wildcat Avenue, and roundabouts were disliked areas of driving by the students. The students did like the addition of a traffic light at 19 Road and Highway 6 &50.

Kenagy hopes to continue to help out high school students by educating them on transportation safety.
