Gay rights is in the forefront of the political arena, both in Washington
and here in Colorado. This November, there will a few ballot measures that will be addressing the rights of homosexual couples. There will be several measures on the ballot, coming from both sides.
One is a proposal to legalize domestic partnerships which will afford gay couples all of the same rights as married couples. The rights include health insurance, property rights, rights to children, and many other rights that come with being recognized as a committed couple.
The second to write into our state constitution that a marriage will only be between a man and a woman.
These are just a few of the issues that will be facing voters in the November ballot.
